Accounts Payable
An Edmonton client seeks an Accounts Payable to join their team.
Accounts Payable Highlights:
· Manage Accounts Payable Email Inbox: Oversee and manage the dedicated accounts payable inbox, ensuring prompt responses to inquiries and requests.
· Vendor Statement Reconciliation: Focus on reconciling vendor statements, which will account for 80-90% of daily tasks.
· Resolve Unmatched Statements: Identify unmatched statements and escalate them to the appropriate team member for resolution.
· Invoice Management: Request missing invoices from vendors, attach them to the system, and ensure accurate and timely entry.
· GL Coding & Expense Review: Review GL coding and expenses to ensure entries are accurate and align with company standards.
· Vendor Communication: Communicate directly with 3-10 vendors (or more depending on responsiveness) to handle account inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
· Accounts Payable Processing: Process and enter accounts payable transactions using Sage or NetSuite, ensuring proper categorization and documentation.
· Invoice Organization: Save invoices in the correct folders, ensuring each is coded and approved correctly.
· Approval Management: Ensure all invoices receive the necessary approval signatures before processing.
· Supplier Account Inquiries: Respond to and resolve any inquiries from suppliers regarding their accounts or payment statuses.
· Monitor Large Invoices: Track and monitor large invoices (>$25,000) during the month-end close process to ensure they are accounted for accurately in accruals.
· Daily Invoice Volume: Manage the daily processing of [insert number] invoices, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all transactions.
· Experience: Prior experience in Sage or NetSuite is preferred, but candidates who are quick learners and adaptable will be considered.
· Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
· Problem-Solving: Willingness to ask questions and escalate issues when necessary to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
· Personality: An outgoing, focused, and self-starting individual with a Type A personality will thrive in this role.

Monday to Friday – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
