Manager - Private Enterprise
An Edmonton client is seeking a Manager, Private Enterprise to join their team.
Manager, Private Enterprise Highlights:
· Responsibilities:
· Oversee engagements across various sectors, including manufacturing, retail, professional services, and non-profits. The scope is conditional on interests, strengths, and business needs.
· Manage audits, typically for small—to medium-sized entities, with an average turnaround time of 4-6 weeks from planning to completion.
· Handle 10-15 files during the busy season, balancing audits and reviews.
· Measure delegation effectiveness through performance reviews, feedback from team members, 360 assessments via the Work Dove platform, and meeting engagement deadlines. Key performance indicators (KPIs) include:
· Utilization
· Efficiency
· Accuracy
· Timeliness
· Oversee 2-3 preparers on each file.
· Engage with AI tools and offshoring partnerships.
· Ensure compliance with tax regulations, optimize tax positions, and provide strategic tax planning advice.
· Qualifications:
· Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· CPA designation or equivalent.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing or a related field, focusing on private enterprises.
· Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
· Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Experience with AI tools and offshoring partnerships is a plus.
· Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop team members.
· Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.

8:00 am to 5:00 pm – Monday to Friday
$105,000 – $120,000/year
